Like all classic romances begin, with a Midwest girl and a Jersey boy. She was born and raised in a small town in rural Iowa; he grew up in a busy suburb of New York City. She played six instruments, danced in the NBA, and had a hankering for Iowa steak. He loved surfing, snowboarding, soccer, and chicken parm. And yet somehow, God saw fit to bring the two of them together, forever.
Every week she sat in the second row at McLean Bible Church. After awhile of noticing her from the back, he realized the only way he would ever be able to talk with her (and get noticed) is if he sat in front of her. So he started sitting in the only row in front of her...the very first one... (to be closer to God, of course). Eventually, week after week they struck up conversations at church and spent time getting to know each other before their first date when he fulfilled her dream of becoming a DJ by taking her to their first DJ lesson. As many know, that date sealed the deal and the rest is history.
Chris surprised Allie with a trip to Miami. On the first day of the trip (the ring was really burning a hole in his pocket), he chartered a catamaran to sail around Biscayne Bay. Right around sunset, he dropped to one knee and popped the question, but only after spending two hours on the phone with the insurance agency earlier that day going over every single scenario one can think of when proposing to their girlfriend on a boat in the middle of the ocean. Needless to say, Allie was pretty surprised and our wonderful captain Mike snapped some photos as she said "Yes!"
